I really like software development! I have been coding as a hobby since I was in middle school. Most of this work was just simple text adventure games, but I did get a good understanding of programming fundamentals from this time. Whether I’m making games or web applications, I get satisfaction from breaking a large problem into small pieces. I like forming a good team and getting a sense of community in my work environment. The logic puzzle aspect of programming really interests me, along with making code run more smoothly / efficiently. I am a quick study and have picked up quite a few languages / frameworks, so getting familiar with a new codebase is a welcome challenge. I would be an asset to your team!
For the last two weeks of my time at the tech academy, I worked with my peers in a team developing a full scale MVC/MVVM Web Application in C#. Working on a legacy codebase was a great learning opportunity for fixing bugs, cleaning up code, and adding requested features.
I have experience with html, CSS, and JavaScript. I can use Ajax to change content dynamically without reloading the page.
MySQL, or Entity Framework
I am familiar with the MVC architecture.
On this page, I implemented a table of data from the database as a partial view. I used Ajax to be able to update the table or sort by different catagories without having to reload the page.
I designed this partial view to be able to load content from Meetup.com, or from a database of stored meetups. This required some creative solutions because Meetup's API would provide duplicate meetups, or meetups that had already passed, or provide no meetups at all.
A simple obstacle course game for desktop or VR where you play as a marble.
I have experience with 2D and 3D games in Unity. Making games during my free time is an engaging way to keep up my C# skills.
